Weekend Update!!

Saturday was a very special day for our family!! Our sweet baby-sitter offered to watch our kids for the afternoon.  I was a little worried, because we usually only have her come over at night when at least the younger two are in bed.  I couldn't pass up her offer though and I am grateful for an amazing afternoon.  Adam and I were able to attend a session at the temple.  This was my first time doing a session in Mesa Temple even though I have lived here seven years!  I hadn't been to a session since my brother was married, so I was very excited for the experience.  After the Temple we enjoyed a child free dinner and ran a few fast kid free errands.  The kids and Kortney had a good time too.  Kortney was able to experience Captain Alex fully dressed in his pirate attire :)  While Amelia slept they went swimming and pizza arrived right as they were getting out of the pool.  Mom was even cool enough to send cinnamon/sugar bread sticks :)  We got home and the kids were on their was to bed!  Addison had BIG news though....she lost her third tooth!!!  She pulled it out herself because she is a big girl.  Addison and I took Kortney home and enjoyed talking about all the fun they had that afternoon!!
Sunday morning was a stressful and exiting morning!  Addison woke up at 3:00 am excited to share her treats from the Tooth fairy.  She received another charm for her bracelet as well as a few Silly Bandz.  Our official get out of bed time ended up being 6:00 a.m.  I started breakfast and beans in the crock pot for dinner.  Everyone was eating and preparing for church when Amelia started crying in pain.  We couldn't understand what had happened and it was very hard to console her.  We put her in the shower with Addison and that didn't seem to help her either.  We
put her down for a nap and prepared everyone else for church.  When Amelia woke up and we were walking out the door for church we saw the evidence of what had happened to Ameila to send her into such a fit.   She had a large bruise on the side of her eye in the shape of a large C.  On the way to church Addison admitted that she ran into her while the kids were horse-playing.  We made it to Sacrament on time!!!!  Not only did we make it, but we sat in a pew with an added seat at the end!  For the first time this year Alex made it through all of Sacrament and after the tears stopped he went to Primary  :)  I must confess that Alex's staying through the whole meeting had everything to do with Legos!  Adam and I picked up a little Pirates Legos set as well as a Lego magazine.  I truly can't remember the last time that Adam and I were able to attend all three meetings at church.  What a great feeling :)
After church the kids and I got to make cupcakes and dinner for a family in our ward as well as Bunny Cookies!!  Each year instead of just eating our chocolate bunnies we make chocolate chunk cookies.  I am running behind this year, but the kids were just excited for the cookies!!  What a weekend....lost tooth, Temple Session, cookies & success at church.  What more could a Mom ask for!!!
