Divine Intervention!

Surprise! After months of tests and blood work we have learned that we are pregnant. I have been on the birth control roller coaster trying to get rid of my cysts and pain, but I can now tell you that the Nuva Ring didn't work for me :) We found out on May 30th (that is how we celebrated Emily's birthday)! I am 10 weeks and as you can see we have a heart beat of 169 beats a minute. While I was having the ultra sound today the baby's arm was having reflux so it looked like he/she was waving right at me!
I am sick as a dog of course and as our luck would have it, I don't have any baby stuff anymore!! We have a crib and jumper and a few clothes that I was sending my expecting sister-in-law. We are really starting from scratch right down to the maternity clothes :)
My due date is January 25, 2010 and we will most likely have our little one on Tuesday, January 19th! I am sure that we will be updating the blog as we grow into our new family of 5 A's & a J.... We love you all :) Jennie

Fun with Friends

Last Thursday the kids and I loaded in the van and headed to Gilbert to pick up Hayden and Brynley. Their little brother Zac needed to have surgery so they stayed with us for a few days! We made homemade pizza as you can see above as well as cinnamon rolls for breakfast Saturday morning!

Each of the kids created a homemade Father's Day card for their Dad :)

I think the kids enjoyed playing together outside the best though!! We set up the slip-n-slide for them and Big Adam even put dish soap on it so they could slide really fast :)

When they got board with the slip-n-slide it was time to break out the big guns! We put their pool at the bottom of our slide and they had a great time making a splash!

We are happy to report that Zac is doing really well! We loved having Hayden and Brynley stay with us for a few days. The kids had a blast and built lots of fun memories!!

First Day of Swim Lessons

We started swimming lessons today! Adam went in the water first. I looked at the outside temp before we got out of the car and it was 80 degrees. The lifeguards were talking about the pool temp as soon as we arrived. The water was a brisk 72 degrees this morning. Adam did a great job. His teacher was really impressed with his efforts and progress.

Addison and Alex had a harder time with the cold water. Addison did a little kicking, but she didn't want to lay on her back and float! Alex hung onto his teacher for dear like. At one point he said Alex should be in UFC because of his grip! Hopefully the pool will warm up by Monday!!

Happy Birthday Adam & Alex

Alex sat back and relaxed while opening presents. As you can see he has a sucker. We did the pinata before opening presents and the sugar took over!

Alex was willing to put his candy down once he opened a car that made noise!!

Swing Batter...We had to move Alex away from the other little ones when he opened his Mickey Tee. He had a great time hitting the ball :)

Adam wasted no time opening his presents! He received a lot of fun gifts. He has a Slip-n-Slide, Chick Hicks semi & car, Shrek Uno and lots of Wall-E!
Align Center
Adam with his new remote control Wall-E :)

Party Festivities

Adam started his party by planting flower like Wall-E.

Each of the children were able to plant a flower to take home with them.
The funny part is that none of them took them home :)

After the cake the kids cooled off in the bounce house.

Dad turned on the hose and put beach balls inside.

Cheese!!

Birthday Food

Adam and Alex had a Hero Party this year! We served Hero sandwiches & Eegee's slush.

Mom tried her best to make an ice cream cake this year. I sure learned a lot... you have to start early and know that you do a little and then freeze etc. Next time I will start a few days ahead of time :)

Making Birthday Wishes.

Even though the cake didn't look it's best it still tasted good :)

Happy 2nd Alex

Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Our youngest turned two yesterday. I let him pick out his treats for the day and as you can see he picked M&M ice cream treats.

Alex is truly a joy in my life. He has such a great attitude about everything. He wakes up each morning with a smile on his face and a hug for Mom. As he continues to grow-up I really hope that he continues to give his Mom her hugs :) Happy Birthday Alex, Love you Mom

Day Out With Mom

Last Thursday, June 4th the kids and I had quite the full day! Addison and I started the day with an appointment at Phoenix Children Hospital. Dad drove the boys into town and we headed to the zoo. We had a great time looking at the animals, but their water features really made the kids day!

Addison loved getting to play in the water and go down the slides in the cave! Alex was a little timid, but once he went down the slide he was ready to play too :)

After the water we headed over to the Discovery Farm. I thought for sure snow cones would be available, but no... Mom was getting a little over heated so we needed some indoor relief...

We headed over to the closest mall and watched UP! Before the movie started we cooled off with some ice cream. We had great seats and really enjoyed a great movie, even Alex sat through the whole thing without a hassle. Way to go Disney & Pixar!

We ended our day by meeting up with Dad at Claim Jumper for a Crohn's Disease fundraiser. We had a good meal and were all tired from such a fun day. I wish I could do that more often, but I don't think I have the stamina :)

Texas Drive By

We were very excited to have Aunt Amber and her wonderful girls stop by for a night. They were moving from Alaska to Texas and lucky for us we were on their route.

As you can see Adam loves his cousins!!

Alex was more than excited about their pets. He even received a few rides from Ojo. We had a great time catching up and hope the next visit is soon :)
