I'm A Big Girl!!

Happy 4th Birthday Amelia!!!
Amelia started her 4th birthday at school this morning with her friends.  She brought sweet treats for snack today to share with her friends!
After school Amelia was able to talk to family and friends calling to wish her a Happy Birthday.  She loved getting all of the attention!

Amelia was itching for me to start her cake all afternoon!  I was excited to get started this evening, so what was the first step????  Cut the watermelon :)  That's right, tonight Amelia had a watermelon cake!!!  If you look at the pictures you will see a mistake I made while decorating the cake.  What is worse, I didn't even catch it until I was starting this blog!!  The day has been a busy one!!

Grandma's & Grandpa's gifts were opened tonight with Grandma watching from her IPAD!  I love technology and the special moments that we can share now.  Amelia received a doll with a few outfits and a bed to build and paint.  Amelia said she is going to paint her bed pink which will match the baby blanket that Grandma made for her doll!  Amelia also received Doc McStuffin a coloring book, Book of BooBoos Journal and stickers.  Wow, she is a very loved and blessed little girl!

Sunday Firsts

First Day of Sunbeams!
Amelia joined Primary today!!  She was nervous, but when we picked her up she was excited to tell us all about her fun day in Sunbeams!   She has three other sweet girls in her class.  The Primary sang to them today to welcome them to Primary.

First Talk in Primary
Alex was asked to speak in Primary today.  He had a hard time making it through his talk (we had to cut it short), but he did a wonderful job.  He liked getting to use the microphone and being in front of his peers.  His big question for the experience was, "Why am I last?"!  They had the opening song, prayer and scripture before he gave his talk on... Heavenly Father Prepared a Way for Me to Return to His Presence.
Dadam and I are very proud of our Amelia and Alex.  What an exciting Sunday full of growth and striving to be like our Savior!  I cherish moments like today.

Adam's Final Pinewood Derby and He Tied For First!!

Last minute preparations were in Adam's favor this year!  We were out of town for the holidays and so the e-mail reminding me about the Derby took me by surprise!  Dadam and Adam worked hard to create and embellish Adam's car for the 9:00 am weigh in.  Adam's car was titled Turbo and designed after Swap Force ( his favorite video game) and the number on the car was 80 after his Great Grandma Lund's Birthday we attended this past summer!
As you look at the pictures of Adam with the boys maybe you will notice as Dadam and I did how much bigger he is than the other scouts in his troop!  He is currently in a size 8 men's shoe and we are thinking that by next year he will be able to not only share socks with his Dad, but shoes as well!!
Congratulations Adam!  Way to go :)

Oh I Wish I Had An Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!!

While running errands today we happened upon the Wienermobile!  Dadam and the kids had a great time looking around and taking a few photos!

The Wonderful Thing About Trampolines....Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy!!!

Excitement began with a knock at the door, two large boxes propped against the house and four children ready to dive right into them!  Dadam joined the excitement a bit reluctantly, it was later in the afternoon after all!!  We headed out back and began a process that took longer than I expected it would!  Moving rocks and creating a safe flat surface was first priority for Dadam!  (This is why it is so important to have him help!! I would have just started throwing it up.)  As the hours passed we ate in shifts and even set up the flood lights to finish the job!  We are so excited to have our new trampoline!  Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!

First Bounce
We finished setting up the trampoline and the kids jumped right on!  Truth be told though, Mom was the first to do a flip on our Trampoline!!  We are looking forward to many more hours of jumping enjoyment!!  Like Tigger always says "Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy"!
