Legoland has added a new pirate section to their theme park. The area is opening this summer and to celebrate they were holding a building competition at our local mall and giving away trips to the winners. Dadam, Adam, Addison and Alex all participated in the competition. They were given 40 minutes to create the best pirate themed build that they could. Alex lasted a good 20 minutes, but being confined to one small work area was to much for him. Addison and Adam finished soon after and it was left to Dadam to finish is pirate for us!
As you can see from the picture above Amelia and I sat and cheered for our builders. They did a great job and I think they had a good time :)
The event was hosted by Legoland and so they had a Master Builder their working alongside the other builders. Alex is standing in front of his parrot that he created. The ships at the bottom represent the new ride that is opening at the park this summer. Each of the kids masterpieces are pictured above. Dadam's is the skull on the top right. We didn't win anything, but fun was had by all :)
