Addison's visit to the Cardiologist went really well today. They went over her echo and explained that her blood flows very fast from the Left Ventricle to the Aorta. There are a few reasons this tends to happen. In Addison's case it is her inflammation in her body due to Crohn's Disease. The heart is working hard and pumping blood fast because her body is fighting itself. The doctor said her murmur was innocent. When we get her inflammation under control her little heart can slow down and take a break.

Hey Jennie, I'm so sorry your little girl has such wretched health concerns. You can do with this what you will (toss it out), but it might be worth considering.
I discovered Naturopathic Medicine a year ago, and have been truly amazed by it (my ND helped me get pregnant in 7 months, which normally it takes 2 years - I'm five months along), by changing my diet, using herbs/supplements/probiotics/flax seeds... specific to my issues, and some homeopathic hormones and such.
Anyway, they help to cure the problem so the body heals itself, rather than treating symptoms with drugs. I know there's a naturopathic medical school in the Phoenix area, and plenty of NDs around there. They wouldn't replace her MDs, but would potentially work concurrently with her team, possibly reducing her dependence on the drugs that are causing her more problems... Insurance often doesn't cover them, but I was just amazed that I learned more about my issues and how to truly get a handle on them, than I had in a lifetime of going to MDs. I didn't want to use drugs to get pregnant, and didn't have to. It's just something to consider. www.naturopathic.org I wish you all the best in helping her. ~Becky
