Our National Monuments

Washington D.C. is in the Inaugural full swing! This is a picture of the Capital steps with the stage being built for the Inauguration on January 20th. The people that live in and around Washington are really gearing up for this event in our history.
Little Adam had a few things he needed to see while he was in Washington. The biggest was of course the Washington Monument. His dad got tickets and we were up up and away!
This is the view of the White House from the top of the Washington Monument.
What a great experience! Lil Adam had such a great time, he wanted to do it again...he didn't understand that you would need more tickets. I think it will be on the list for our next visit to D.C.!
This is a picture of the kids in front of the water feature at the Fine Art Museum. If you are planning a trip to D.C. this museum has the best gelato in town :)

We have never done the Washington Monument on any of our trips to DC. One year it was under construction. The next year it was July and the kids (ours and a bunch of cousins) were melting. Maybe next time.
