Stockings of Love

Each November our family talks about being grateful for all that we have been blessed with.  Last year was the first time that Adam and Addison chose to give their Christmas gift up from Mom and Dad and use the money to fill stockings for children their age that have less than we do.  This year we had the same lesson and I was so pleased that they once again chose to give up their gifts from Mom and Dad and shop for those with less.  Alex even decided to participate this year!
Alex, Ms. Lacey and I visited Target and practiced walking through the store and shopping.  Alex did a great job filling his stocking :)  He thought he was buying the toys for his brother though.  Adam, Addison and I made another trip to Target to fill their stockings.  They were both very conscious of what they were buying and if it would fit in the stockings.
Adam and Addison went with me to the church to fill their stockings and turn them in.  The stockings are filled and donated to a woman/children shelter in Phoenix.  What great examples my little ones are to me, so willing to give up a gift to help their fellow man :)
The True Meaning of Christmas!!
